an illustration that took about 48-72 hours of my free time total. glad it’s done.
because everyone’s making some that look pretty impressive or funny i thought i’d try my hand at it. also, i’m for equal marriage rights :P
I started to read this and understood the writer has the same feelings as I do. except mine isn’t about fake geek girls. my feelings, feelings of great disliking of those who say they’re “obsessed” when only owning one thing from a certain genre. for me its when i see a teenage girl wearing one batman shirt. just one. and then they do #obsessed. nothing else to show it, they probably don’t even like batman like i do. and i’m sure its not just batman, i bet there are people saying the same things about doctor who or star wars or even mickey mouse. you cant just own something like a superman shirt and say obsessed. you need to bond with it. i grew up watching batman the animated series, i own the complete animated series, along with 15 other batman movies. i have batman shirts, pants, socks, shoes, belts, hats, underwear, earrings and a ring. i have a batman tattoo. i own few old comic books of batman and i’ve been trying to keep up with the new 52 reboot. i have not just the arkham games but even the old ps2 games and gameboy games. i have batman bed sheets and batman posters. i have batman cups and batman coasters. if you’re obsessed from owning just 1 batman shirt then someone, please, check me into an asylum (arkham please). i’m not bragging, and i’m not saying im the most beloved fan because i know damn sure that there are people out there who have a lot more batman stuff. but those who try to get batman to be a trend setter because they saw the newest batman movie and decide that “batman’s their life” even though they’ve never even cared what batman was before just down right sicken me. i wish i could provide more examples than just the one batman one but really that’s all i’ve been seeing and hearing about. and lately i’ve been becoming upset by the fact that people are trying to make my hero a trend. he’s the god damn batman not your free ticket into trendy town. i agree fully with the article in the linked area, but all you other people better understand that im serious and im sure others agree that you are not obsessed with it because of this one item you own.
the dark knight and my opinion
so im watching the dark knight. dont get me wrong here because i absolutely love batman, but this is my 2nd to least favorite batman movie i own. its actually tied with batman and robin. i dont know why, possibly because christopher nolan had a different background story for joker and two face. or maybe it’s because it just seems long a sorta boring. joker wasnt cute up and then painted his face, no he fell in a vat of acid at ace chemical plant. two face had acid thrown in his face, not burnt. not to mention two face’s bad half looks like a rack of burnt ribs to me. the story behind it is alright i guess. favorite batman movie would be dark knight rises or batman forever. i feel like the dark knight could have done a lot better. good job either way.
p.s. heath ledger, my second favorite joker. he’s a great actor but mark hamil is the one who does the best voice.
